JL Ranch Horse Camp
A Unique Collaborative Experience
JL Ranch is a 250 acre ranch on Richland Chambers Reservoir. Our size and adjacency to the lake make us the perfect place for camp! Just over an hour South of Dallas - we are easy to reach.
JL Ranch is proud to offer JL Ranch Horse Camp. Our camp is a collaboration between your barn and our ranch. As the ONLY barn staying at JLR during a session - the focus is on you! In addition, this gives your barn a chance to really bond.
Sessions are 1 week long - 7 days, 6 nights. Food and lodging are all provided by JLR.
You will trailer your horses to camp Sunday morning. They will be checked in and settled into our stalls. Bring up to 10 horses (8 camper horses and 2 trainer horses). In an effort to minimally disrupt their normal care - you will provide feed and hay. During your stay at camp, we will keep stalls clean and filled with water and shavings. Your campers will need to feed their own horses morning and night.
Days generally consist of lessons taught by your trainers after breakfast and dinner. Lessons are broken into groups of 4 riders. One group will lesson while the other has a camp activity and then vice versa. See link below for possible schedule - but we can modify to fit your needs!
Afternoons and non-riding times will be spent enjoying more conventional camp activities. All activities provided by and ran by JLR. More info below!
Cost is $2250/camper. This fee is paid directly to JLR. Refunds are available until 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. NO FEE FOR TRAINERS. Once the refund deadline has passed and all paperwork is completed - JLR will issue a check to your barn for your portion of the tuition. Contact us for more details on this breakdown.
SPACE IS LIMITED - CONTACT US TODAY TO RESERVE DATES FOR YOUR BARN BEFORE THEY ARE GONE!!!
Spaces available for individual campers as well!
